Data Science,
or Statistics Major?
S-STEM is a signature program from the NSF that supports low-income and first-generation students. Students can be awarded up to $15,000 per year for the entirety of their degree, as well as gain access to curricular and extracurricular activities, mentoring, and other support services.
Eligible Majors Include
- Computer Science (CoE)
- Computer Science and Engineering (CoE)
- Computer Engineering (CoE)
- Data Science and Engineering (CoE)
- Statistics (CLAS)
- Statistical Data Science (CLAS)
- Applied Mathematical Science (CLAS)
- Actuarial Science (CLAS)
Important Dates
Applications for AY 25/26 will open on May 1, 2025 for students starting in Fall 2025.
